Perera Pictures' network includes the industry's most talented producers, videographers, directors, story producers and editors on both coasts and in between through the award winning brother/sister duo, Chris and Fia Perera. Fia is based in Los Angeles and Chris in the New York City area. Together they have decades of creating impeccable content for a number of clients.
Regardless of where clients are are in the United States or abroad, Perera Pictures is there. In just the past 18 months, Chris Perera has filmed for clients all over the US as well as for a hit TV show, Platinum Eye, internationally. Locations included Morocco, Barbados, Paris, London and Puerto Rico.
In addition to producing numerous brand spots that have exceeded clients’ expectations Fia successfully sold an award winning narrative film to multiple streaming platforms in 2022 and will be releasing a full length feature Documentary film early in of 2023.
Chris Perera
Chris Perera is an award-winning producer who works out of his bi- coastal production companies, Perera Pictures and 5 Speed Entertainment. He has worked on several indie film projects as well as numerous TV shows for A&E, History, ABC, Discovery, Science Channel, Velocity, Animal Planet, TLC, Discovery Health, HGTV, DIY, FYI, History, National Geographic and TV-One. Other credits include, showrunner on Nat Geo’s critically-acclaimed “American Weed”, EP on TV-One’s “Celebrity Crime Files”, EP on ABC’s award-winning, “NY Med” as well as EP on hit shows that include “Say Yes to the Dress”, “Tiny House Nation” and “While You Were Out.” His current show “Platinum Eye” is one of the top shows for A&E’s FYI channel.
Fia Perera
Writer/ Director FIA PERERA has gone to several Oscar qualifying festivals and has won multiple awards for her short film MERMAID such as Best LGBTQ+ film, Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival, Best LGBTQ+ film, Atlanta Women’s Film Festival, Best First Time Director, Independent Shorts Awards, Best short film, Best LGBTQ+ film Vegas Movie Awards, Best Director Vegas Movie Awards, Best Child Actor Vegas Movie Awards, Semi - Finalist ( Oscar qualifying) MANHATTAN SHORT FILM FESTIVAL, Winner Global Shorts Awards and Award of Excellence - Independent Shorts Festival. Mermaid script has received great coverage as a SLAMDANCE 2020 script Quarter Finalist and LA Screenplay finalist. She has written over 15 plays off Broadway in NYC and has written and produced several TV series, including the award winning TV pilot Do The Voice. As the director of the the hilarious award winning comedy pilot Baby Steps she was able to put a refreshing spin on Brooklyn moms reinventing feminism while scraping banana off the floor. Fia has also written several feature films and TV projects that are in various stages of development. Her current feature length Documentary film “Paul & Trisha: The Art of Fluidity is scheduled to be released soon (original song by Peter Gabriel). Fia is a creative, results driven communicator and strategic thinker who brings both her leadership and collaborative style to every client’s project. She has parlayed her filmmaking skills into producing a handful of effective videos and campaigns that have raised over 1.6 million for charities such as VETPAW, Penta Medical Recycling, Wildlife SOS, NTDM, and Let The Animals Live to name a few.
