Chris Perera
Chris is a producer and strategist with a passion for drawing viewers into the "tent" and keeping them hooked. Blending creative storytelling, sharp strategy, and high production values, he delivers top-tier pitches and compelling content that resonate with audiences—from policymakers and stakeholders to tech-savvy clients looking to make an impact.
His versatility spans indie film, documentary storytelling, and a wide range of television genres, working with networks and companies like BBC, ITV, NYT TV, A&E, History, ABC, Discovery, Science Channel, Velocity, Animal Planet, TLC, HGTV, DIY, FYI, and National Geographic. Chris’s credits include hit shows such as American Weed (Nat Geo), House Hunters International (HGTV), NY Med (ABC), Say Yes to the Dress (TLC), and Tiny House Nation (FYI).
As the founder of Perera Pictures, Chris brings strategic polish to every project. He’s also the Executive Producer of Invitation, a luxury travel series on Warner Bros. Discovery, now in its third season, which showcases high-end travel experiences across stunning destinations in North Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Caribbean.
Chris earned his Executive MBA from Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business in 2024. When he’s not on his bike or out for a run, you’ll find him spending time with his teenage kids and his golden retriever, Scout—who’s probably dreaming of their next adventure on Chris’s 13' Boston Whaler.
Fia Perera
Fia Perera, Chris's sister, is an accomplished Writer and Director whose work has been showcased at over 70 prestigious film festivals, including several that are Oscar-qualifying. She has received multiple awards for her acclaimed short film "Mermaid." With a background as an actor and comedian, Fia has penned and performed in more than 15 Off-Broadway plays and has created award-winning TV series, including the notable pilots "Do the Voice," "Baby Steps," and "Bad Alice." Currently, she has several feature films and TV projects in various stages of development.
Her latest feature documentary, "Paul & Trisha: The Art of Fluidity," is available on Apple and Amazon, while her narrative feature "Mermaid" is in post-production. As a passionate storyteller, Fia has leveraged her filmmaking expertise to produce impactful videos and campaigns that have raised over $2 million for charities such as VETPAW, Penta Medical Recycling, Wildlife SOS, and Let the Animals Live, among others. She also collaborates with brands and companies to create dynamic video portfolio sizzle reels that deliver impressive results.
Fia continues to push creative boundaries, using her expertise to inspire and effect change through her storytelling. This can help growing brands and established companies stay relevant and impactful in their messaging..
